Sioux Falls, South Dakota, is on the verge of a major transformation as work continues on the South Veterans Parkway, a project designed to enhance infrastructure, i
mprove connectivity, and drive economic development across the region. Commonly referred to as South Dakota Highway 100, this ambitious effort has
been confirmed and is moving ahead in full force, according to recent reports, including updates from local and national media outlets like CNN.
The South Veterans Parkway will serve as a critical southeastern bypass, easing traffic congestion and providing an essential link between key highways.
The roadway will eventually stretch from Interstate 29 near Tea to Interstate 90, forming a loop around the eastern part of Sioux Falls. It’s a long-anticipated
addition to the city’s transportation grid and is expected to serve both residential neighborhoods and commercial zones as the city continues to grow.
Construction is being carried out in phases to minimize disruptions and allow for strategic planning. The segment from Western Avenue to Cliff Avenue began in 2023 and is scheduled for completion by

Later phases will extend the parkway eastward and northward, with full completion targeted for fall of 2027.
