A World Series hero will return to the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2026. The Dodgers are reportedly re-signing infielder Miguel Rojas to a $5.5 million, one-year contract for 2026.
Alden Gonzalez of ESPN reports that Rojas, who blasted one of the most significant home runs in Dodgers history, would retire at the end of the current campaign. In the eighth inning of Game 7, the 36-year-old infielder smashed a home run to bring Los Angeles back in the game.
The Dodgers would have probably lost Game 7 of the World Series to the Toronto Blue Jays if it weren’t for Rojas’ home run. It was a startling event that made Rojas a part of Dodgers history.
Over 114 games in 2025, Rojas had a.262 average, seven home runs, and 26 runs batted in. Although the Los Angeles infielder’s stats aren’t particularly impressive, his performance against left-handed pitchers makes him a crucial member of the squad.
Gonzalez claims that following his final season, Rojas would support player development and the Dodgers front office. Rojas will always hold a special place in Dodgers fans’ hearts because his home run flipped the 2025 World Series upside down.
