Rodgers reveals Celtic interest in star, as lack of ibrox interest in one position would leave hero’stunned’.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has disclosed that a number of clubs have showed interest in acquiring out-of-favour centre forward Hyeon-gyu Oh this summer. The South Korean attacker was bought by predecessor Ange Postecoglou for £2.5m in January 2023 and was initially a key player as he fired in six goals in 16 league appearances during the second half of the campaign in what proved to be a treble-winning season.

But in his second season, he has quickly dropped down the standings, especially with the addition of Adam Idah on loan, whom the Hoops hope to keep around for the upcoming campaign.

The Parkhead team’s approach for the Norwich City forward was turned down earlier this week for a price between £4 million and £5 million, but Rodgers’ group is anticipated to come back to the table with a stronger offer. Idah prompted Rodgers to decline to comment, saying he “wasn’t in the mood to be talking about players from other clubs.” He did, however, imply that the team would take bids for Oh, who might be off the market after just 18 months in Glasgow.

There’s some interest in Oh, so again we’ll assess that as a club and just manage that,” Aaron Rodgers stated to BBC Sport. However, as you’ll see tonight, he worked hard and had a fantastic attitude for the full 45 minutes.
