Finally! Baraja announces The Perfect Striker and Roman Yaremchuk’s best replacement has reached an agreement for a 2-year contract. Despite the very high price label, Valencia are willing to…

Following the departure of Roman Yaremchuk at the end of last season, Valencia has been looking for a new striker to associate with Hugo Duro in attack. Rafa Mir has been their main target from the start, and after weeks of discussions, which included some complications, an agreement has now been finalised.

Valencia officially announced Mir’s return on Thursday. The 27-year-old previously played for Los Che from 2015 to 2018, and six and a half years later, he has made his way back to Mestalla – a move he has been longing for in recent months

Mir joins Valencia in a loan agreement from Seville, and the agreement includes a purchase option worth 5 million euros, Marca.

Valencia tried to sign again with Mir last summer, before having to opt for Yaremchuk. 12 months later, they have their man – it remains to be seen if it is worth waiting for coach Ruben Baraja.
