Kent Hughes Makes First Major Decision With Cuts – A Blow To NHL Rivals!

After nearly a week of the 2024 Montreal Canadiens training camp, Kent Hughes must make some choices.

With players like Lane Hutson, William Trudeau, Emil Heineman, and Oliver Kapanen having excellent camps, there

could be some significant shocks on both the offensive and defensive sides. He could push Kent Hughes to make some

very tough decisions, especially in Kapanen’s instance. But if there’s one guy who doesn’t appear to be making things more difficult for the Canadiens’

management, it’s Filip Mesar, the other first-round selection from 2022.

Is Filip Mesar’s time with the Canadiens done for the season? Mesar isn’t likely to be the one to pull any surprises this

season, as it appears that his fate is already decided. Mesar has been demoted to the third group at camp,

according to the Canadiens, as reported by the brilliant Anthony Marcotte of BPM Sports. He is now one of the guys who appear to be moving toward the Laval Rocket, thus it is unlikely that we will see him play much in the preseason. He won’t be opening the season in Montreal, and it looks like a decision has already been taken in his case.
